OCI Passport Photo Size Requirements

Your OCI Application will require two (2) identical photographs must be submitted, they should be 2” x 2” in width and height. 

OCI Hard Copy Passport Photo specification

They should show a close up of your face and the top of your shoulders so that your face takes up between 60% – 70% of the face or 1” to 1 ⅜” from the chin to crown of the head. The photo must clearly show the person’s facial features in a straight forward position from the tip of the chin to the crown of the head as well as the left and right sides of the face. In the case of voluminous hair, it must be endured that the head (including the hairstyle) is fully depicted without reducing the size of the face, if possible. The face must be centered in the photo and no more than six months old. 

Background 

The background should be white. No shadows must be shown in the background. 

Expression 

Passport photo must be with a neutral expression with your mouth closed and no laughing or smiling in the picture, also teeth not showing.

  1. Specific criteria for signatures is, the aspect ratio needs to be 3:1 (width vs height)
