VFS handles OCI card (and other passport / consular services) applications in the the UK for the Indian High Commission.
- The security staff at the VFS center will check and issue your token number at the appointment time.
- Wait for your number– if the center is behind schedule on the day, you may have to wait .
- Send your request and supporting documents at the counter when called and pay the OCI application fee.
OCI Card fees in the UK
The price for the OCI card is £ 201.44 in the United Kingdom. The charge for OCI usage is GBP 194 and GBP 7.44 for VFS Service Fee. Fees can be paid by means of cash, debit card or a postal or bank draft payable to “VF Services UK Ltd.”

Do you need to submit your original passport for OCI application?
Yes you will have to submit your original passport at VFS – however they will not keep it with them – tthey will return it to you, which is why they have the digital uploads with them
Further Security Warning to keep in mind
- Only the applicant appying for their OCI application is allowed to submit their OCI application to VFS.
- Use of Mobile phones or any other electronics is prohibited
- No bags except a plastic containing documents are allowed
- Food is prohibited
- No sharp or metal objects are allowed
- No storage facility is available
