The High Commission has outsourced Visa / Passport / Select Consular service surrender to the United Kingdom (Cox & Kings in the United States) and VFS in the UK.
It means you can’t send your application for the renunciation of your Indian citizenship directly to the High Commission – it must be through VFS.
At the VFS application centres, you may submit your application to cancel Indian passengers in person.If you do not receive a pre-booked appointment, your application will not be accepted.
How to book an appointment for a surrender certificate for OCI Visa card

Step 3 Choose your most convenient VAC and services to Surrender your Passport. Please select the date and time on the next screen.
